Okay so i have done "alright" giving in here and there to fast food when out with the kids and they are hungry. At home I've done quite a bit better. But I haven't eliminated butter and cheese entirely though it hasn't been much. However.....all that is about not change I think. Worse than most sicknesses i HATE not being able to breath. And this sinus infection has been going on months. I'm starting week 4 of antibiotics and it still is in full swing. In fact my throat is massive swollen and my chest sensitive and coughing a lot like it has started all over ..... I thought maybe I have developed bronchitis, and as I researched a little on the Internet the first thing that stands out to me is poor nutrition poor nutrition poor nutrition arggggggggg. I've actually been eating pretty well lately so for second I was frustrated, until I realized I haven't been cramming in the fruits and veggies. I've just not been eating all that much. I have added more veggies than before but not near enough to be able to say I'm getting a decent amount of nutrients from my food. I'm supposed to call in my second round of this antibiotic this morning, but I read online that the bacterias out there right now seem to be lingering, and that doctors are worried because the antibiotics don't seem to be touching them. I have a lot of friends who have gotten the same sickness and they seem to not be getting over it either. I really think I'm only going to kick its butt with proper nutrition. And not being able to breathe constantly is incentive enough, so here we go. I hate not being able to breathe did I mention that? The wonderful thing is I think I hate it more than I love the processed foods and dairy..... This could be good!
Our Journey to change our dietary lifestyle has been very difficult, as parents, and as life long JUNK eaters. The kids are so young we have had a lot of success with them, and we are trying to read as much as we can and try different recipes and change our taste buds forever. It can be done, our taste buds are trained by our culture. We have decided we dont want the standard american diseases, and therfore this is our journey to defeat the standard American diet that causes them.
